As you get dragged into the digital age, try simple document scanning apps

The benefits of going digital are many, including convenience and ease of filing and finding documents. Creating multiple-page digital documents, however, has been a time-consuming headache with the traditional all-in-one printer scanner that sits on your desk.

But now it’s a task made much simpler by apps for your phone.

If you have an iPhone, get the Scannable app by Evernote. If you have an Android device, check out the CamScanner app. (It’s also available for iPhone.)

Both apps use your phone’s camera to quickly scan documents and put them into one file that you can then easily share.

Be sure to remember to share documents safely, particularly things you’ve scanned that include sensitive personal information like account numbers or your Social Security number.
